My First Blog Post
Well, I've been telling my self to start a blog for a long time, and it's been on my To-Do list forever, so I finally decided I want to mark that task as "Done". Here it is, my blog, the musings of Tom Friedhof. There's not much to see here right now, but I intend to use this space as a place to share my thoughts.
This site is built on the Drupal platform, a platform I'm highly enthused about and will probably write a lot about. Having built web sites and web applications for the past 8 years, I must say that Drupal has definitely changed my whole perspective on web development. I've written proprietary content managed web sites for many different clients most of my web development career. Once I found Drupal, it was a new beginning. I discovered the true power of Open Source Software. The power is not so much in the code base as it is the community. Drupal has a thriving community, and that's what makes it the best CMS in the world. It's even got a theme song.
